Wavy Text Generator
Two sliders — Wave height and Wave length — bend your text into anything from a gentle ripple to a hard zig-zag, and each letter tilts to follow the slope it sits on.
How to make text follow a wave
- Pick the Wave shape. Two sliders appear.
- Wave height is how far the line rises and falls. Set it to zero and the text is straight.
- Wave length is how long one full rise-and-fall takes. Short values pack several ripples across the canvas; long values give one lazy S-curve.
- Adjust Letter spacing — a wave crowds letters on the inside of each bend, and a little extra spacing evens it out.
- Download PNG with Transparent background ticked.
Getting the two sliders to work together
The two settings are what make this a wavy text generator rather than a single fixed effect, and they pull against each other:
- Tall and short — high wave height, short wave length: a choppy zig-zag. Good for a few short words, hard to read for a long sentence.
- Low and long — small wave height, long wave length: a gentle ripple that stays easy to read, which is usually what a banner or a headline wants.
- Tall and long — one big S. Works well for two or three words across a poster.
Each letter turns to follow the slope of the line it sits on, so the word looks like it is riding the wave rather than stepping up and down a staircase.
What people make with it
- Summer, beach, pool and surf posters.
- Birthday and party banners, where a wave feels friendlier than a straight line.
- Sticker and t-shirt lettering with a retro or seventies feel.
- Headings for a flyer that needs some movement without an illustration.
FAQ
Can I get more than one wave across the text?
Yes — lower Wave length. The shorter it is, the more ripples fit across the canvas.
Can I draw my own wobble instead?
Pick Custom path on the main generator and drag the four handles; the letters follow whatever curve you draw.
Do the letters tilt?
Yes, each letter follows the slope at its own position. That is what keeps a wave from looking like separate letters bouncing.
Is the exported background transparent?
Yes, as long as Transparent background stays ticked — see the transparent background page.
